San Antonio Traffic Calming
The City of San Antonio is gathering feedback on proposed traffic calming measures along key streets near the upcoming VIA Rapid Green Line project from Basse to Ashby. These improvements aim to enhance safety, reduce speeding, and improve the overall quality of life within the community, creating a safter conditions for all users.
Green Line Traffic Calming addresses resident concerns about cut-through traffic and speeding near the VIA Rapid Green Line project. Traffic calming means improving the street design to reduce speeding and cut-through traffic, making streets safer for people walking and biking.
A detailed analysis identified priority streets by reviewing crash patterns, traffic data, existing conditions, input from neighborhood leaders, and recommended improvements outlined in the City's Neighborhood Traffic Calming Handbook.
