The Sheridan Street Bridge over the Florida’s Turnpike is owned by Broward County’s Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division which has retained Structural Technologies as the Contractor to raise the bridge to meet current vertical clearance standards. The bridge will be raised 2 feet to provide a 16’-6” clearance, reducing the risk of future vehicle impacts and structural damage. Construction will be completed in two phases.

  • Phase 1

In Phase 1, the westbound lanes on Sheridan Street will be closed, and the eastbound side will be reconfigured to carry one lane of traffic in each direction.

  • Phase 2

In Phase 2, the eastbound lanes will be closed, and the westbound side will be reconfigured to carry one lane of traffic in each direction.
